Australia’s Significant Investor Visa (SIV) Program is a Federal Government initiative that commenced in 2012 to attract high net worth individuals from other countries seeking permanent residency in Australia.

Classed by the Australian Government as a Business Innovation and Investment Visa, it is aimed at attracting applicants with:

  • business and entrepreneurial skills, and
  • capital to invest into innovative Australian businesses and the commercialisation of Australian ideas, research and development.

Today, SIV is recognised as world leading investment visa program, providing a pathway to permanent residency in Australia after 4 years, while ensuring a balance between investment migration and economic benefit to the Australian economy.
