John Humphreys
Chairman
John is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Salter Brothers Asset Management Pty Ltd. John established KPMG’s Australian consulting business and was Chairman of Consulting for Asia Pacific before leading the divestment and subsequent merger of the business into Bearing Point in the region. John commenced his career with Peat Marwick over 30 years ago as a graduate accountant, having completed a commerce degree. John is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and the Australian Society of Public Accountants, achieving Fellowship status in both organisations.
George Boubouras
Director & Investment Advisor
George is a Director of Salter Brothers Asset Management and an Investment Advisor for Salter Brothers Immigration Investment Funds.
He has over 25 years’ experience as an Economist, Portfolio Manager, Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director (MD) across all asset classes, at various global and domestic firms including UBS, Equity Trustees, HSBC Asset Management and Macquarie Group.
Additional current roles include MD, Head of Research, Investments & Advisory at K2 Asset Management, Non-Executive Director and Investment Committee (IC) Chair at ESSSuper, IC at Paua Wealth Management, Advisory Board Chair at the International Centre for Financial Services, part-time lecturer and Visiting Fellow at The University of Adelaide, Business School, Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics.
George holds a Bachelor of Economics, Hon. Flinders University, Adelaide, South Australia. Portfolio Management Executive Certificate from the AGSM at the University of New South Wales, Executive Certificate in Management & Leadership from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, Investment Decisions & Behavioural Finance Program at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government and the Securities & Derivatives Industry Association Accreditation, PS146.
Chris Calvert
Director
Chris is an Non-Executive Director of Salter Brothers Asset Management. He has 30 years experience in the property industry, half of which has been in leading Australian and overseas property groups in real estate investment and development.
Chris is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Real Estate Investment (Edamah) B.S.C., the real estate arm of the Bahrain Sovereign Wealth Fund, and is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of Edamah, together with the overall management, operation and performance.
Prior to his time at Edamah, Chris was the Chief Executive Officer of Lewis Land Group (LLG), a private family real estate Group, and Australia’s oldest private property developer. Before joining LLG, Chris was the Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Industrial Trust (CIT), a listed real estate investment trust listed on the Singapore Exchange, and prior to joining CIT he was the Chief Executive Officer (Asia) of Macarthur Cook Limited, and ASX listed real estate management business.
Robert Millar
Company Secretary
Robert is the Company Secretary of Salter Brothers Asset Management as well as other entities owned directly or indirectly by Salter Family Holdings Pty Ltd.
Robert is a chartered accountant and has practiced for 20+ years.
Robert Salter
Director
Robert is a Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Salter Brothers and has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Prior to co-founding Salter Brothers, Robert was a Senior Investment Advisor at Macquarie Bank Limited. He provided investment advice to high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals in the Asia Pacific region, encompassing asset allocation, structuring and investment selection. Before this, he held similar roles as a Director with UBS Wealth Management and also at Merrill Lynch Private. Prior to his career as an investment advisor, Robert worked overseas, principally in Switzerland, as the Deals Desk Head for the Metals and Minerals Division of Trafigura Beheer BV, a physical commodity trader. Robert was responsible for the management of the Global Derivatives book encompassing both the hedging of physical price risk and all proprietary trading activities.
Robert is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne), is PS146 Accredited and was an Accredited Derivatives Advisor Levels 1 & 2 with Macquarie Equities.
Paul Salter
Managing Director
Paul is the Managing Director of Salter Brothers, Salter Brothers Hotel Group and the Chief Executive Officer of Salter Brothers Immigration Investment (previously Atlas Capital Group). He also leads the Company’s mergers and acquisitions practice and has been involved in most of the capital raising and investments undertaken by the Group.
Prior to this role, Paul had extensive management and corporate finance experience working as Chief Financial Officer for Damovo Australia, Ericsson Corporate Networks and ACTTAB Ltd and with KPMG and Ernst & Young in corporate finance and consulting.
Paul’s strength and expertise is in the areas of hotels and gaming, information technology, telecommunications, digital and traditional media. Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne), is a member of the Institute of Company Directors and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).

Don Clarke
Chairman of the Board
Don is a former Partner at Minter Ellison with over 35 years’ experience. He has acted on the listings of 50 companies on the ASX, as well as various capital raising, mergers and acquisitions and significant private equity transactions. He is current Deputy Chairman of Webjet and a former Non-Executive Director of Circadian Technologies Limited, Calzada Limited and Phosphagenics Limited.
Don is a Director of the ASX listed investment company, Contango Income Generator Limited. He has significant experience in compliance, legal and regulatory management, as well as specific experience in the travel industry via Webjet.
Lorenz Grollo
Non-Executive Director – Hotel Group
Lorenz has over 20 years’ experience with the the Grollo Group and Equiset. Grollo Group/Equiset built both the Crowne Plaza Melbourne and the Intercontinental at Rialto, refurbishing the Intercontinental in 2008. Lorenz is also involved in the ownership and management of the Mt Buller ski resort and co-owns the Merchant restaurant located in the Intercontinental. Equiset’s recent projects include the Sheraton in Little Collins St and construction of a pencil tower on the site of the former Phoenix Hotel.
Matt Eady
Non-Executive Director – Hotel Group
Between 2017 and 2022, Matt established and owned a platform in strategic operating partnership with a global investment firm, which became one of the largest property/construction lenders in Australia.
Matt was also the former Chief Executive Officer and Director of Tourism Asset Holdings Limited (“TAHL”), which was the largest owner of hotels in Australia. Matt was responsible for all areas of TAHL’s strategy, management and operations. The successful four year turnaround strategy culminated in TAHL’s sale as the then largest hotel property transaction in Australian history.
Previous non-executive roles include a New York fund manager and an Australian hedge fund. He also has over a decade of investment and institutional banking experience in a number of senior roles across multiple sectors at major banks.
Matt began his career as a corporate advisory lawyer. He holds both a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University. He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

John Vatovec
Chairperson
John Vatovec has over 37 years’ experience in equity capital markets, hedge funds and portfolio management. John has a long-established network in Australasia amongst corporates, investment banks, hedge fund managers and family offices.
John commenced his career at Prudential Portfolio Managers progressing through various analyst and senior portfolio management roles, before moving to Macquarie Bank where he held senior roles within Macquarie Equities. John was responsible for launching and building Macquarie’s Asian equity broking business as well as being responsible for global Hedge Fund client management. John then moved to Lowy Funds Group as a Senior Fund Manager and Investment Committee member for six years, before being appointed a Non-Executive Director of Van Eyck 3 Pillars, a listed investment company.
John then established MAP Capital Advisors NSW where he has been involved in numerous capital raising and advisory mandates.
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University of NSW, is a graduate of FINSIA, and holds FINRA Qualifications (Series 7, 24 and 63).
Marcos Marcou
Director
Marcos has over 30 years’ experience in leading and advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, governance, private equity raising and investments. Marcos has held a number of senior management positions in the telecommunications, technology and resources sectors with Benchmark Factory – NASDAQ:DELL (USA), SpeedCast – ASX:SDA (Hong Kong), Damovo-Ericsson – NASDAQ:ERIC (Australia) and Deloitte Consulting (Australia & Hong Kong) specialising in corporate strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Recently, Marcos also held the role of Executive Director and Company Secretary at Kazakhstan Potash Corporation Limited (ASX:KPC). Prior to this, Marcos was joint founder and Director of MAP Capital Advisors, a boutique corporate advisory and funds management business.
Marcos holds a Bachelor of Arts (University of Melbourne) and a Master of Business Administration (Swinburne University of Technology).
