Joel Zanoni
Managing Director, Debt Capital Markets
Joel is a senior corporate finance professional with over 15years’ of investment banking and private investment experience. Joel has held a range of responsibilities across various roles including client management, transaction execution, debt insurance, IPOs, corporate restructuring and principal investing. Most recently Joel has been working as Executive Director, Private Corporate Debt at Wingate.
Prior to that Joel worked here at Salter Brothers alongside Ryan Legudi in corporate advisory. Joel has also previously worked for Macquarie Capital and Credit Suisse in Australia and the UK where he worked on several significant transactions across a broad range of industrial, infrastructure and financial services segments. Joel holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) & Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
David O’Connor
Managing Director, Debt Capital Markets
David has 20 years’ industry experience with financial services firms including Westpac and MaxCapGroup. He is a commercial real estate professional, with experience in institutional capital raising, fund establishment, credit analysis and portfolio management. In his most recent role, David was Director –Commercial Real Estate at MaxCapGroup. This role encompassed real estate investment, establishing and managing debt funds, sustainable finance, capital raising and debt origination and structuring. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
Mike Davis
Managing Director, Credit
Mike has over 40 years’ experience in financial services across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the USA. He has originated, managed, or advised on $1.7B+ in Private Debt and was previously CEO of Nikko Asset Management Australia, overseeing $23B in assets.
Prior roles: senior roles at Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and KPMG, specialising in capital markets and investment management.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Tim Martin
Managing Director, Credit
Tim has over 40 years’ experience working in financial services having worked across Australia, Hong Kong, and Europe. He has led $1.7B+ in Private Debt transactions and previously headed Alternative Asset Management at Nikko Asset Management Australia.
Prior roles: senior positions at Merrill Lynch and Schroders Group, specializing in debt markets, treasury, and risk management.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University (Politics & Law) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
Tim Davis
Director, Credit
With over 10 years’ experience across Australia and the US, including six years in private debt. Tim Davis specialises in investment origination, credit structuring, and
fund administration at Causeway.
Prior roles: KPMG’s Management Consulting division and DVT Consulting in turnaround and restructuring.
Qualifications: MBA from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Economics (Finance) from the University of Sydney and holds his CAIA certification.
Rob Ranocchia
Director, Credit
Rob has over 35 years’ experience in financial services across the US, Hong Kong, and Australia, specializing in credit structuring, corporate finance, and asset management. He was previously Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners. His expertise spans credit transactions, M&A, and private equity.
Prior roles: Head of Special Situations at CIFC Asset Management, and Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase, leading its Asia Pacific Media & Telecom division.
Qualifications: B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Sydney and an MBA from Columbia University.
David Zipparo
Director, Credit
David Zipparo holds over 30 years’ experience and is a seasoned private debt and relationship management professional in Australian financial markets. He has held key roles in corporate banking, structured finance, leveraged buyouts, and asset-backed lending across major institutions including Nikko Asset Management.
Prior roles: ANZ, CBA, and Midland Bank.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and is a Member of CPA Australia and the Australian Restructuring
