Steven Lawford
Director - Funds Management
Steve is an experienced real estate executive with over 15 years’ asset and funds management experience across the office, retail, industrial and self-storage sectors.
Prior to working at Salter Brothers, Steve was a Fund Manager at APN Property Group, an ASX listed real estate fund manager. Steve was responsible for four separate unlisted property funds containing some 60 assets with a value of approximately $350 million. Steve’s experience spans a diverse range of disciplines including asset management, capital management, real estate capital transaction, financial modelling and due diligence.
Prior to APN, Steve worked as an asset manager with Investa Property Group, one of Australia’s leading office REITs.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Planning & Design (Property & Construction) and a Bachelor of Property & Construction (Honours), both from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate of Applied Finance from FINSIA. Steve is a Professional Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
Dumindha Ranasinghe
Director – Funds Management
Dumindha has over 15 years’ corporate advisory experience in Australia and the United Kingdom. He has worked with his clients on property related capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, funds management, corporate restructuring and financial modelling.
Prior to working with Salter Brothers, Dumindha worked within the Corporate Finance team of APN Property Group, an ASX listed real estate fund manager. Dumindha’s broad skill set includes mergers and acquisitions, financial modelling, accounting, financial due diligence and real estate capital transactions.
Before his role at APN Property Group, Dumindha was an Associate Director within KPMG’s Financial Advisory Services team. At KPMG, Dumindha advised some of Australia’s largest corporate organisations, including BP, Tabcorp, Healthscope, Unilever, Asciano and Toll Holdings.
Dumindha is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
Mabel Yuan
Senior Investment Manager, Funds Management
With broad experience in institutional banking and markets, and corporate finance, Mabel works closely with the Funds Management team and Hotel Group to provide performance monitoring, financial modelling, reporting and analysis on portfolios and assets within Salter Brothers property funds. Prior to her role at Salter Brothers, Mabel held the position of Investment Manager (Property, PE and VC) at Trawalla Group. This role provided her with hands-on exposure to a hotel and mixed-use development project in Hobart, as well as board restructures and development of investment strategies.
In addition to her role at Trawalla Group, Mabel’s previous roles have included Senior Associate (Institutional Banking and Markets) at Commonwealth Bank and Senior Associate (Corporate Finance) at Bank of Tokyo – Mitsubishi UFJ (MUFG). Mabel holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) with Majors in Actuarial Studies and Finance from the University of New South Wales. She is also a CFA Charter Holder since 2013.
Alessia Magnetti
Investment Manager, Funds Management
Alessia has 12 years’ experience in financial services, with a strong background in real estate investment management. Most recently Alessia worked at EY as a Senior Manager in Real Estate Advisory. Prior to that Alessia gained experience across funds management, portfolio and asset management, acquisition and disposal processes, and finance with firms including Real Estate Asset Management SGR and BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management based in Italy.
In this role, Alessia will provide performance monitoring, financial modelling, reporting and analysis on portfolios and assets within Salter Brothers property funds.
Alessia holds a Master of Science in Management (Finance) and a Degree in Institutions and Financial Markets Management, from the Università Commerciale L. Bocconi – Milan, Italy.
Aidan Drinkwater
Senior Manager, Capital Transactions
Aidan has over 16 years of legal experience in private practice and inhouse roles. He has worked for several firms including King & Wood Mallesons (Sydney), White & Case LLP (London) and Minter Ellison. Aidan has also gained inhouse experience at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank.
Aidan is responsible for transaction execution legal documents, legal due diligence, transaction management, and debt arrangement. He also works closely with transaction origination team members.
Aidan holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (LLB, BCOM) and Masters of Law (LLM) from the University of Melbourne, and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia.
Nathan Kivi
Chief Investment Officer (US)
Nathan has an entrepreneurial passion for results-oriented management in the hospitality, finance and real estate sectors.
With more than 19 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, asset management, funds management and operations experience, Nathan has a proven track record of effective business development at the executive level.
Prior to joining Salter Brothers as United States Chief Investment Officer, Nathan was Director – Global Corporate Finance, Acquisitions & Mergers at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). At IHG, Nathan was involved in the management of over $1 billion of hospitality assets.
Nathan’s other roles have included overseeing a $900 million real estate investment portfolio for Eureka Funds Management, an Australia-based real estate fund management company whose holdings include hospitality, office and retail properties.
Nathan is also currently appointed Chief Strategy Officer for Valor Hospitality Partners, a global hospitality management company.
Nathan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, a Masters in Finance focused on hotel development, and holds an Advanced Hotel Asset Management Diploma from Cornell University.
Cathy Zhang
Manager, Funds Management
With over six years’ experience in the banking and property development industries, Cathy provides critical project management support to internal and external stakeholders on a number of our property funds and related property development assets. Prior to joining Salter Brothers, Cathy worked at HSBC and was a candidate in HSBC’s VIC Talent Pool. Before her role at HSBC, Cathy was a Commercial Development Manager of Sino-Russia strategic project Baltic Pearl in St. Petersburg, the largest residential development in Russia. In this role, Cathy undertook all aspects of commercial property development, which delivered a EUR$140M commercial development of the region’s largest shopping centre, Pearl Plaza, located within Baltic Pearl, and assisted with strategic development across China, Russia and Europe.
Cathy holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Applied Finance, both from Monash University, and a Master of Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne. Cathy is a member of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia.

Rahul Ghai
Managing Director – Asia
Rahul is a highly experienced, senior investment professional with a strong track record in strategic real estate investments. In his most recent role, Rahul was Managing Director and Regional head of Real Estate for Europe with Partners Group. Prior to this Rahul held the same role for Partners Group Asia Pacific after joining from Deutsche Bank – DWS where he was Managing Director – Head of Transactions Asia Pacific.
Rahul holds a Masters in Business Administration from IMHI (Joint course offered by Cornell University, Ithaca & ESSEC Business School), and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics, Political Science and Business Statistics) from University of Delhi.
Gene Osborne
Asset Manager – Asia
Gene is an experienced hotel leader with 30+ years’ experience. In his most recent role, Gene held a senior finance position with IHG hotels in the position of Area Director of Finance and Business Support, Tokyo and Okinawa.
Gene holds a Bachelor of Business in Hospitality from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).

Tineyi Matanda
Investment Director
Tineyi is the Investment Director for the private equity and venture capital funds, with over 17 years of global experience his role covers the investment origination, assessment, transaction execution and post investment and strategic management of operational companies.Tineyi is currently Non-Executive Director of various companies working closely with boards and senior management of portfolio companies to create value. His role also involves management of various stakeholders from management, board, investors to regulators.
Previously a Non-Executive Director of various other companies including AirService and ChefGood assisting the company with its national expansion strategy and securing growth capital. He has also been a board member of various non-for-profits across Multiculturalism and Diversity. Prior to working at Salter Brothers, Tineyi worked at PwC in middle markets merger & acquisitions, strategy and transaction services group. He started at PwC in the Financial Services Assurance, Risk and Audit Group spending time working in New York.
Tineyi holds a Bachelor of Finance, is a Chartered Accountant and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
Gregg Taylor
Investment Director
Gregg has over 25 years of investment experience across global markets, covering most industrial sectors with a focus on technology enabled business models. He is highly entrepreneurial and has founded and led various businesses across multiple sectors. Combining his institutional investment experience and operational roles, Gregg has spent the last 10 years deploying his unique investment strategy applying active management to a concentrated portfolio of private and public emerging growth companies.
Currently the Director of Equities at Salter Brothers, Gregg’s other investment experience includes roles at Bombora Investment Management, Blue Ocean Equities, Schroders Investment Management, Wilson HTM and Citigroup.
Gregg is also an experienced ASX Director across multiple sectors holding roles including Non-Executive Chairman, Non-Executive Director, Head of Audit & Risk Committee and Head of Remuneration & Nominations Committee.
Gregg holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Economics and Finance from the University of Wollongong and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Joel Zanoni
Managing Director
Joel is a senior corporate finance professional with over 15years’ of investment banking and private investment experience. Joel has held a range of responsibilities across various roles including client management, transaction execution, debt insurance, IPOs, corporate restructuring and principal investing. Most recently Joel has been working as Executive Director, Private Corporate Debt at Wingate.
Prior to that Joel worked here at Salter Brothers alongside Ryan Legudi in corporate advisory. Joel has also previously worked for Macquarie Capital and Credit Suisse in Australia and the UK where he worked on several significant transactions across a broad range of industrial, infrastructure and financial services segments. Joel holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) & Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
David O’Connor
Managing Director
David has 20 years’ industry experience with financial services firms including Westpac and MaxCapGroup. He is a commercial real estate professional, with experience in institutional capital raising, fund establishment, credit analysis and portfolio management. In his most recent role, David was Director –Commercial Real Estate at MaxCapGroup. This role encompassed real estate investment, establishing and managing debt funds, sustainable finance, capital raising and debt origination and structuring. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Hannah Zhu
Director – Investment Advisory
Hannah is a Director of Investment Advisory at Salter Brothers. In her role, Hannah assists with the development and management of relationships with high-level clients, both in China and Australia.
Hannah has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Prior to her current role at Salter Brothers, Hannah was a Service Relationship Manager in Citibank’s Citigold team. Hannah has assisted many HNW clients in structuring portfolios with appropriate asset allocation and individual investment selection.
Hannah holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and a Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management). Hannah is accredited as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) through the Global Association of Risk Professionals. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
Kevin Fan
Non-Executive Director
Kevin is a Non-Executive Director of Salter Brothers Immigration Investment.
Kevin has over 10 years’ experience primarily in wealth management and investment strategy in Asia. Prior to Salter Brothers, Kevin was Vice President of HSBC covering wealth management, investment insights and product development. In his role at HSBC, Kevin assisted many HNW clients in structuring portfolios with appropriate asset allocation and individual investment selection.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science (Fudan University) and is a CFA Institute member.
Natalie Liao
Executive – Investment Advisory
Natalie is an Executive of Investment Advisory for Salter Brothers. In her role, Natalie assists with the development and management of relationships with high-level clients, both in China and Australia.
Natalie has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Prior to Salter Brothers, Natalie was a Client Relationship Manager at Austar Group where she assisted many HNW migrants in structuring their portfolios to ensure appropriate asset allocation, whilst maintaining compliance with migration policies. Prior to Austar Group, Natalie worked at the Bank of Queensland as a Personal Banker and Loan Officer.
Natalie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and a Diploma of Financial Services (Mortgage Broker).
Leo Zhang
Manager – Client Services
In his role at Salter Brothers, Leo supports the Relationship Management team in delivering all administration and client service needs. With a strong finance background and a commitment to stakeholder engagement, Leo brings processes and client-centric thinking to the role.
Prior to this appointment, Leo worked at Westpac Banking Corporation, SAI GLOBAL Property and Perpetual Consulting Group. With national scope, Leo’s responsibilities included fund settlements, policy compliance, and working with clients and lenders alike.
Leo holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Finance) from Swinburne University of Technology, as well as a Certificate IV (Finance & Mortgage Broking).

Niall McCarthy
Co-head of Capital Partnerships and Director Funds Management
Niall McCarthy is a Director of Funds Management at Salter Brothers. He is responsible for fund and product development, capital raising and institutional relationships, and investment identification and execution.
Niall has over 30 years’ experience in the areas of funds management, project and development management across Australia, Asia, the Middle East and the UK and has held senior roles in major Australian institutions.
Prior to Salter Brothers, Niall was one of the founders in 2004 of Eureka Funds Management, which then became the Australian Real Assets platform of AXA Investment Managers post its acquisition in 2016. As Head of Business Development at AXA Investment Managers, Niall’s role was to drive business development in Australia. He was a member of the Investment Committee and on the Board of the Australian AFSL company and holding company – Eureka Funds Management Limited & Eureka Funds Management Holdings.
Niall is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a Masters Degree in Construction Economics/Quantity Surveying from Trinity College Dublin. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Yossi Kraemer
Co-head of Capital Partnerships and Director Funds Management
Yossi is a highly experienced, senior investment professional with a proven track record of building new business lines and driving earnings across diverse markets. Prior to Salter Brothers, Yossi worked at Schroders RF as Head of Distribution and RF Corval, Product Strategy and Capital. Prior to this he was at Qualitas for 10 years responsible for Capital, Fund Creation and Portfolio Management, following his time working in Europe for over a decade in investment banking.
Yossi’s experience is complemented by a Bachelor of Business, Banking and Finance (specialisation in Capital Markets) and Honours Degree in Finance both from Monash University.
Yossi’s role has responsibility for the global investor base across Family Office, HNWI, Broker, Wealth adviser channels, as well as collaborating on Institutional investors.

Karen Bomford
GM – Operations
Karen is the General Manager of Operations at Salter Brothers. With over 16 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Karen specialises in providing the highest level of client service and administration. Prior to joining Salter Brothers, Karen worked at Macquarie Bank for seven years during which time she advanced from Advisor Assistant to Team Leader and then onto a role as Para-planner/Manager. Prior to commencing at Macquarie, Karen worked at Commonwealth Private Bank dealing with ultra-high net worth clients. Before this, Karen worked in wealth management with a boutique investment house for a number of years.
Karen holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).
Paul Joyce
Chief Operating Officer
Paul is Chief Operating Officer of Salter Brothers Capital (previously MAP Capital) and Salter Brothers Immigration Investment (previously Atlas Capital Group).
Prior to this appointment, Paul held the position of Head of Operations at JCP Investment Partners Ltd. With over 20 years’ experience in back office operations and financial management reporting, Paul has been responsible for the establishment, development and supervision of several successful operations.
Paul has previously worked in Investment Operation teams for Your Prosperity Ltd (Subsidiary of MLC; part of National Group), Victorian Superannuation Board (VSB), and the State Insurance Office (SIO). Paul holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from RMIT University and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment (FINSIA).
Caterina Nesci
Director of Brand and Marketing
Caterina is the Director of Brand & Marketing for Salter Brothers. She is responsible for leading the overall direction, management and ongoing evaluation of the Group’s brand and marketing communications strategy and execution.
Caterina has over 20 years’ marketing experience contributing to the strategic direction and growth of businesses. Caterina has in-depth experience across brand, marketing and communications. Caterina’s past roles, Head of Marketing & Communications and Director of ESG & International Partnerships at La Trobe Financial and prior to that she was at law firms Hogan Lovells (Hong Kong) and Norton Rose Fulbright.
Caterina’s experience is supported by a Bachelor of Business, Mini MBA in Marketing, Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing Leadership (RMIT University), and Certificate in Brand Management (Melbourne University).
Megan Powell
Marketing & Communications Manager
Meg is an accomplished marketing and communications specialist with 20+ years’ global financial and professional services experience, in a career spanning New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. She has a strong understanding of financial markets across all asset classes including property, agriculture and infrastructure. Throughout her career, Meg has fulfilled various senior marketing and communications roles at Mutual Trust, BDO, IFM Investors, NAB, ANZ and UBS, specialising in public relations. Meg holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Canterbury, a Public Relations Diploma from Auckland University of Technology and a post-graduate Certificate in Direct Marketing (Distinction) from the Marketing Association of New Zealand.
Cindy Seetoh
Manager - Compliance
Cindy is an accomplished compliance professional, having held a variety of senior compliance roles across Australia and Singapore.
With more than 12 years’ of professional experience, Cindy has worked for Lewis Land Group (Sydney) and Cambridge Industrial Trust Management Limited (Singapore). Reporting to the CEO of Cambridge Industrial Management Limited, Cindy was responsible for all internal and external compliance processes for the business.
Prior to these appointments, Cindy worked as Head of Compliance and Financial Crime Prevention for Newedge Financial Singapore, overseeing compliance and financial crime prevention related matters.
As Manager of Compliance for Salter Brothers, Cindy heads up the critical role of leading the operational and strategic direction of all compliance and financial crime prevention for the Group.
Lara Mitchell
Senior Manager – People & Culture
Lara is a senior HR practitioner with 18+ years experience across financial and professional services. Lara’s experience in strategic and operational delivery encompasses a number of HR disciplines including coaching, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance and reward, organisational design, internal communications and change management.
At Salter Brothers, Lara is responsible for the HR function and its strategic and operational responsibilities across the business. Working collaboratively with leaders Lara helps drive the people experience and engagement aligned to organisational goals and objectives. Lara holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland and Foundations of Human Resources from AHRI.

Peter Hamilton
Chief Financial Officer
Peter has obtained a diverse skill-set from 25+ years experience working in a variety of roles within both professional services firms and corporate environments.
Peter has had approximately 15 years experience working for EY (in both Melbourne and London) and McGrathNicol (Melbourne), performing both audit and financial due diligence roles across a variety of industries. Including his time at Salter Brothers, also has approximately 10 years experience in senior financial accounting and finance roles within corporate environments.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne), is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), and has completed various specialist subjects run by the Financial Institute of Australasia.
Georgette Devlin
Finance Manager
Georgette is the Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager at Salter Brothers. Georgette has over 20 years financial control and corporate governance experience in the Financial Services, Dairy and Wine industries, with her depth of experience bringing a commercial flavour to her roles.
Prior to joining Salter Brothers, Georgette was the Financial Controller and Securities Limited, Portland Company Secretary for Australian Securities Limited (Mortgage and Property House Management Group Funds). Previously she was the Financial Controller and Company Secretary for the Portland House Management Group of Companies and Lonsdale Financial Group where she was part of the team involved with the merger between Lonsdale Financial group, DKN Financial Group and Wrap Account Limited.
Georgette has a Bachelor of Commerce Deakin University, an MBA (Deakin University) and has completed units towards a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance.
Sarah Dunne
Finance Manager
Sarah is a highly qualified Financial Chartered Accountant experienced in providing cross border expertise, offering a range of statutory reporting, external audit and taxation services in both Ireland and Australia. Sarah formerly worked as a Fund Accountant at APN Property Group, an ASX listed real estate fund manager. Sarah was solely responsible for the accounting and taxation function for a number of funds, which included five Real Estate Securities and four separate direct property funds, one of which was listed on the ASX. Prior to APN, Sarah was a Senior Associate within PWC Ireland Insurance Department, where she conducted external audits on some of Ireland’s largest corporate organisations including AIG Ireland, Bank of Ireland and Quinn Direct.
Sarah is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and has a Bachelor of Accounting & Finance from the Dublin Institute of Technology Ireland.
Peter Kwan
Financial Controller
In his most recent role as Senior Manager at BDO Australia, Peter managed a portfolio of clients in various industries, including key clients within the financial services industry. Peter is experienced in preparation, revision and auditing of financial reports under IFRS, US GAAP and PRC GAAP, as well as all types of Australian tax reporting and advising on planning and implementation of various tax strategies for clients. Peter is a member of CPA Australia and holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Angela Wartnaby
Financial Reporting Manager
Angela is a highly qualified finance professional with more than 12 years’ experience across a variety of sectors and markets Including wholesale, pharmaceuticals, professional services, eCommerce and retail. In her previous role as Finance Manager at The Myer Family Company Ltd, Angela provided the business with critical financial reporting during the merger with Mutual Trust. This involved assisting in the transition of Myer Family Company operations, including merger and acquisition due diligence queries. A key part of our Finance team, Angela is passionate about business partnering and improving systems and processes.
Angela holds a Master of Applied Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Economics (International Economics and Trade) from Ji’nan University. Angela is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia
and New Zealand (CAANZ).
Kate Agnoleto
Manager – Finance
At Salter brothers, Kate is responsible for managing finance operations for various hotel fund portfolios. Kate has over ten years’ experience in finance. Prior to Salter Brothers, Kate worked as Finance Manager at IPH Limited for Griffith Hack and previously at Betr. Kate has a background in managing financial responsibilities and operations, streamlining accounting processes, and implementing software.
Kate holds a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University.

Mei McNamara
Manager, ESG
With over 15 years’ experience, Mei has a strong background in ESG, project management, property and real estate, sustainability frameworks and practices, and reporting. In her most recent role at International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), Mei was responsible for creating environmental, social and governance frameworks and processes to meet and exceed relevant company KPOs. Previous to this, Mei was employed as Energy and Sustainability Manager at JLL where she was responsible for project management and reporting across a number of key portfolios.
Mei holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Auckland and is a Green Star Accredited Professional and has accreditations as a NABERS and BEEC Assessor.
Hotel Development
Matt Harris
Director, Development
Matthew is a former senior executive with leading independent building consultancy, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB). With more than 20 years’ experience developing RLB’s strategy for its successful Infrastructure business and assisting in the delivery of some of the company’s major projects including Macquarie at Martin Place, the Sydney International Convention Centre, Victoria Cross OSD, West Connex and Darling Quarter amongst others, Matthew brings extensive experience to Salter Brothers major projects.
In his role at Salter Brothers, Matthew’s primary focus is to provide financial, business management and infrastructure strategy advice to the major project team and its stakeholders. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from the Nottingham Trent University. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and an Associate of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
Jesse Wilson
Construction Manager
Jesse is an accomplished and results driven project manager with over 17 years’ experience within the construction industry. Throughout his career, Jesse has overseen the successful completion of multimillion dollar high-rise apartment buildings; as well as independent living facilities, schools and office buildings.
Jesse’s track record is demonstrated through his ability to build strong collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, authorities and trade contractors for construction projects of all types and sizes. In his role as Construction Manager, Jesse brings additional value to the team through his comprehensive experience in project estimating, contract negotiations and implementation of design changes to save time and improve cost effectiveness.
A key component of Jesse’s role at Salter Brothers is managing the commercial and strategic aspects of property development to generate significant returns for our shareholders and investors. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) from RMIT University.
Veronica Serratore
Senior Development Manager
With over 23 years’ experience in the property development and construction industry, Veronica has developed extensive skills in all facets of design, development and construction. Veronica had brought significant value to each project, excelling in all stages of design management, project management, sustainable design, master planning, tendering, budgeting and programming.
Prior to joining Salter Brothers, Veronica held a pivotal role as Senior Design Manager in the Rialto regeneration, which delivered a $120M commercial development. Over the course of her career, Veronica has worked on a number of major projects providing invaluable experience, qualifications, and motivation to provide a trusted and reliable service to prospective clients.
Veronica holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology, and an Interior Design qualification.
Andrew Crellin
Project Director, Major Projects
Andrew is the Project Director of major real estate projects at Salter Brothers. With more than 35 years’ construction industry experience, Andrew has worked as a head contractor on major commercial projects from hotels, hospitals, aquatic centres, shopping centres, aged care facilities, large format retail buildings and prisons. Andrew previously held executive positions with Kane Constructions & ADCO Constructions.
David Lam
Senior Project Manager
David has over 20 years experience in architecture, hotel and commercial redevelopment and project management. His most recent role as National Capital Works Manager with AMP Capital Investors (Real Estate) saw him oversee upgrade works for 26 assets across the Australia and New Zealand portfolio.
David holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) from the University of New South Wales.
Gavin Biles
Executive Development Director
Gavin has more than 30yrs experience in mixed use sectors including residential, commercial, retail and hotels. Most recently Gavin held the role of Executive Director, Urban Regeneration at Lendlease where he was responsible for origination of mixed use opportunities across NSW and VIC. Prior to thisGavin held various other senior management roles at Lendlease including Head of Retail, Head of Commercial and Project Director Barangaroo. Gavin holds a Bachelor of Science (Quantity Surveying) from the University of Natal.
Marie Colangelo
Project Director (Repositioning Projects)
Marie joins Salter Brothers after spending the past 5 years working as a Project Director with Jones Lang Lasalle on a number of large-scale hotel refurbishments in Sydney – Novotel Darling Harbour, Hilton Sydney; and Brisbane – Voco and Indigo; and a new hotel build in Darwin. Previously Marie has been a Project Manager with Accor Hotels and Mirvac LaSalle, Kirkton Park Hotel, Hotels working on several hotel refurbishment and development projects.
Marie has a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University; studied Interior Design at Enmore Design Centre and a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) from University of Newcastle.

Steven Skarott
Director - Hotels
Steven is Director of Hotels for Salter Brothers, responsible for leading the Group’s hotel portfolio strategy and performance. Steven has been guiding the hotel portfolio since January 2016 and has more than 20 year’s hospitality experience in international hotels.
Throughout his career, Steven’s roles have included regional operations leadership, development, acquisitions, pre-opening operations, general management, area financial management, hotel franchising and brand development. He has extensive experience working in locations across Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific region having held roles based in Singapore and the United States, together with performing assignments in locations such as Seoul, Tokyo, Dubai and Johannesburg.
Prior to joining Salter Brothers, Steven had eight years with the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) as a Regional Head of Operations for the IHG Asia, Middle East and Africa region overseeing some 60+ hotels with responsibility for more than $900 million in revenues.
Steven is a fellow Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and a graduate of both Cornell and Kaplan Universities having completed studies in both Hospitality and Applied Finance.
Matthew Butcher
Director of Culinary and Creative Experiences
Matthew is a Melbourne based chef and culinary consultant, who has established himself in both the national and international food culture with a wealth of diverse skills and creative attributes.
Turning a passion into a career, Matthew has worked alongside some of the industry’s heavyweights Gordon Ramsay, Shannon Bennett and Ryan Clift. With his extensive experience and achievements, Matthew has used his creative eye to not only develop new dishes and menus, but also to create new food and beverage concepts with operations that are environmentally sustainable and ethically engineered. Matthew heads up the Restaurant & Bar division at Salter Brothers, tasked with designing flavoursome and playful menu concepts to complement the variety of hotels within the Salter Brothers Hotel Group.
Kate Harper
Asset Manager, Hotels
Kate is an accomplished hotel executive and brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality sector. In addition to fulfilling senior roles in hotel investment and development with Hyatt Hotels Corporation and InterContinentalHotels Group (IHG), Kate ran her own consultancy business where she advised a number of domestic hotel developers.
Kate’s skills and expertise in hotel feasibility and analysis, management of contract performance and knowledge of key hotel markets throughout Australia and New Zealand, brings additional depth of experience to our Hotels team.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance & Investment from FINSIA.
Monika Mattczak
Asset Manager, Hotels
Monika is an accomplished executive with 15years’ experience in the hotel, tourism and commercial real estate sectors. Most recently, Monika fulfilled the role of Director of Asset Management at Brookfield Properties where she diversified her skills across multiple asset classes. Prior to this, Monika spent 10 years with JLL Hotel Advisory and 2 years with Cushman & Wakefield. Her experience with Cushman & Waskefield was centred on valuations, while her responsibilities with JLL encompassed multiple facets across Hotel Asset Management. Monika holds a Bachelor of Business Property with the University of Western Sydney and has been recognised for various academic and industry achievements including the Cushman & Wakefield property prize.
Stephen Ho
Asset Manager, Hotels
Stephen is a senior level executive with more than 15 years of comprehensive expertise within international hotels, with domain expertise in revenue management, asset re-positioning, brand and commercial.
Stephen’s prior role’s with IHG, Starwood and fund manager Aspen Parks have included senior operations management and regional revenue and commercial functions where he was responsible for revenue management teams, revenue strategy, channel and segment strategy. He has also been involved in commercial strategy to develop and launch new brands to regions and implement commercial strategy for digital channel innovation. His global experience includes roles based in Canada,United Kingdom and Malaysia.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of International Hotel Management from Griffith University and is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and French.
Andrew Dunn
Portfolio Manager, Hotels
Andrew is a senior level executive with more than 15 years of comprehensive expertise within the hotel and leisure sector in finance, development, asset management, and investment positions.
Prior to Salter Brothers, he held the role of Director, Property Investment for NRMA where he was responsible for the group’s hotel investments, growth strategies and acquisition due diligence.
Andrew is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Steven Greenwood
Portfolio Manager, Hotels
Steven is an internationally accomplished hotel and corporate hospitality executive with more then 10 years General Manager and Area Director of Operations experience. Most recently Steven fulfilled the role of General Manager InterContinental Kuala Lumpur and Country Manager for InterContinentalHotels Group Malaysia. Steven has 20 years’ experience in international hotels and commenced his career at the prestigious InterContinental Park Lane prior to being promoted to executive roles in the Middle-East and then on to New Zealand and Australia. Steven holds a Diploma in European Hospitality Management.
Wesley Milsom
Portfolio Manager, Hotels
Wes is a strategic and results-focused professional with more than 16years’ property experience in alternate assets, primarily hotel and tourism. As National Director of Hotel Valuations at CRBE Hotels, Wes was directly responsible for the AUNZ hotel valuation business undertaking valuations of various properties across Australia and the South Pacific. Most recently, Wes worked as Director Investments, Hotels, Tourism and Leisure for Elanor Investors Group. This included origination, funds management, asset management and performance, growth and development of the investment portfolio. Wes holds a Bachelor of Business, Property Economics from University of Western Sydney

Ryan Legudi
Managing Director – Capital
Ryan is a Senior C-Level Executive with substantial experience managing teams across multiple locations to drive corporate objectives, including revenue growth and profitability.
At the core of his career trajectory has been Ryan’s ability to combine his inclusive, empathetic leadership style with a highly analytical, results-driven mindset. This approach has seen Ryan take on various roles across the globe including America, Australia and the United Kingdom. Ryan previously worked for MAP Capital (now Salter Brothers Capital) and Atlas Capital Group (now Salter Brothers Immigration Investment) on the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities before taking on the position of Managing Director for Stemify Limited. Based in San Diego, Ryan was responsible for the development and implementation of Stemify’s corporate strategy, delivering consistent revenue growth.
Ryan’s role at Salter Brothers includes working with various stakeholders on funds management and capital raising, as well as structuring IPOs and assisting our clients with their merger and acquisition activities.
Ryan is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Diploma of Information Systems from the University of Melbourne.
Luke Gersbach
Managing Director, Capital & Advisory
Luke is a senior investment banker and fund manager with over 18 years’ experience across both buy side and sell-side; including credit and alternative investments. He brings substantial relationships at CSuite level as a trusted adviser, demonstrated by his track record of having advised on transactions in excess of A$100bn across: EUR, USD, AUD, CHF, GBP and HKD.
Most recently, Luke was Head of Alternative Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager at Mirae Asset Global Investments. Luke’s focus included credit, equity (VC through to Pre-IPO and PE), infrastructure and property investments across the region. Luke also sat on the board of essential infrastructure project Aquasure (VicDesal). Prior to this, Luke has worked in Investment Banking / Capital Markets at Westpac and BNP Paribas. Luke holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School (first class honours) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
David O’Connor
Managing Director
David has 20 years’ industry experience with financial services firms including Westpac and MaxCapGroup. He is a commercial real estate professional, with experience in institutional capital raising, fund establishment, credit analysis and portfolio management. In his most recent role, David was Director –Commercial Real Estate at MaxCapGroup. This role encompassed real estate investment, establishing and managing debt funds, sustainable finance, capital raising and debt origination and structuring. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Joseph Pacillo
Director, Capital & General Counsel
Joseph is an accomplished lawyer and General Counsel with more than 15 years’ experience in private practice and in house roles. Joseph has worked at a number of law firms both here in Australia and overseas, including Minter Ellison, King & Wood Mallesons in London and the US firm, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe.
Most recently, Joseph worked as General Counsel for a property developer based in Melbourne. At Salter Brothers, Joseph heads up debt advisory, working closely with Ryan, as well as taking on General Counsel responsibilities for the broader group. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Law from Deakin University and was admitted to practice law in 2005.
Tom Garner
Corporate Counsel
Tom has over four years experience practicing in commercial law. Most recently, Tom was responsible for a range of legal matters specialising in the areas of real estate, property development and private lending at a boutique commercial law firm. Prior to this, he has worked at Lakeside Financial Group and Arnold Bloch Leibler.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law, and is Admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria.
In the Corporate Counsel role, Tom reports to Joseph Pacillo based in the Melbourne office. Tom supports the business through working across legal, company secretarial, governance and compliance functions, providing legal advice and support.
